In this article I will try to explain how to dock Sansa Fuze and what are the implications and disadvantages of this action. A dock is a GUI (graphical user interface) which provides a way of switching between, launching, running and monitoring applications. An icon bar is one of the earliest implications of the dock concept. With the passage of time dock has found its way into every operating system and is considered an important part as well. Other applications of dock have become functional. Apple's Newton OS 2007 include a variety of dock applications that can be added to operating systems.

Sansa Fuze, released March 28, 2008, in 2, 4 & 8 GB capacity, is a 1.9-inch color display portable media player with a thickness of 0.3 inches. It also features a FM radio with recording, a voice recorder, and 24-hour battery life on continuous audio playback. Storage is expandable via a micro SDHC slot. Firmware enabled FLAC and Ogg Vorbis playback. The latest firm wares, depending on hardware version have also hit the market and proving to be great success.

Let us now consider Sansa Fuze Dock, this term simply means that the dock would hold an icon for sansa fuze in your computer. The icon will be visible on your screen and will indicate the status of the program. Dock can also be used as a repository as it can hold any number of items and resizes them dynamically to fit while using a magnification tool for small pictures. Thus Sansa Fuze Dock will enable users to use this program with ease and they can connect their portable Sansa Fuze to their computers for file sharing or playing purposes.

This does not mean Sansa Fuze dock is free of errors, over the years there has been a lot of criticism on it. Bruce Tognazzini, a consultant for Apple, wrote an article, highlighting ten problems of Dock. One of the major problems listed in his articles was the huge amount of space Dock takes. Secondly the label on the icon only becomes visible when we move our mouse over it. Thus if I have created other docks along with my Sansa Fuze dock, it will become very difficult for me to differentiate between them unless I use different icons for every file.

Despite of the criticism, Sansa Fuze Dock will be a great idea to pursue. It will give users advantage of using, playing and loading their Sansa Fuze and the disadvantages are hardly worth remembering.
